Made for you and the planet
Zoka is a small business making outdoor garments from second-hand fabric.
The brand started in February of 2022, after founder, Estelle Mohr's first tree planting season. Zoka has always had adventure top of mind, taking inspiration from days in the dirt, mountain peaks, second-hand gear, family camping trips, and much more.
And while striving to make unique, practical apparel, Zoka has also held true to the vow of making every piece with second-hand fabric, and minimizing impact anywhere possible.

Starting the Brand
Zoka started while I was living in Fernie, BC. For years before, I had sold jewelry and bucket hats under my previous brand 'Pamplemousse'. After tree planting for the first time, a lot of things shifted in my life, and I finally had the courage to make and sell apparel.
At the time, life consisted of snowboarding, working and hanging with friends. I wanted to make something that would complement that lifestyle, so I started by drafting a pattern from a sweater I had. Then I slowly tinkered with the design, making sure it would be practical layer in -30 degree days out on the hill and it would be comfortable when I got back home.
The brand continues too evolve, as my skills improve and my needs change. The new collection has more technical features, pockets, hoods and toggles that help each piece fit exactly right.
That first season I made 25 sweatshirts and sold them to friends. I had such a blast, and now after four full seasons of production there have been 300+ Zoka fleeces made, and the brand has been sold in stores in British Columbia, Quebec and Ontario.
Thanks so much for being here,
and enjoy the new pieces!
Xx, Estelle.
